Mike Berk opened with a great set, but didn’t want to take too much stage time from his friend Mikey Wax who was debuting at Hanafin’s. Mikey and his brother John played great originals, but also got the crowd going with popular favorites and some creative medleys. After getting acquainted with his more mellow style, watching him combine “Twist and Shout” with “Wild Thing” was highly entertaining. After proving his worth, Mikey Wax will definitely be back to Hanafin’s, so don’t miss him next time.
