Pours a creamy tan color with cascading waves of brown liquid forming under a thick tan head. After about 20 seconds, the motion stops and the rich roasted aromas spring forth. The flavor yields a similarly dry, roasted barley character, with the roasted aspect becoming more pronounced as the brew warms toward ambient temperature. Simply one the best ever brewed.
This beer is brewed by the Guinness Company. The smooth flavor brings the beer to life with a pleasant bitterness while offering a nutty quality. Its bitterness takes a little getting used to.
This beer is brewed by the Guinness Company. It pours a deep reddish-brown with a strong hoppy nose and a full, thick, off-white head that lasts for much of the pint. The initial taste hit is as hoppy as the fragrance, lasts throughout and is robust to say the least. Both give balance to the other and makes it a fine drop of ale from start to finish.
: Murphy’s boasts a really smooth texture. Unlike a lot of other stouts, Murphy’s goes down very easy, and once you've had one; you can't help but have another one. Murphy’s is supposedly famous for the fact that it will not give you a headache the following morning if you have over-indulged. If true, this helps elevate its stature as a stout.
A very pale yellow beer with golden spark, a crystal clear appearance, medium level of carbonation and a modest white head. It has a bit of lace
with an appetizing smell of hops and notes of bitter herbs and fresh cut hay.
The start is fresh, malty with a hint of fruity yeast, body slender and firm. More hops in the finish; crisp and pleasant. The aftertaste is long, hoppy and on the bitter side.
A well-balanced beer. One of the better European Macro-Lagers.
A nice creamy white head which has decent lasting power . The beer is reddish/brown with light carbonation. Taste is slightly malty upfront with a hint of hops. It leaves a good, thick lacing on the glass. Taste is slightly bitter, but refreshing. A good session beer. Goes down smooth with a slight hint of chocolate at the finish.
This is a light bodied beer with a thin malty flavor. Crisp and clean on the tongue with a bit of carbonation. A quick flash of hop bitterness is all you taste other than a faint veggie flavour that would come from an over-cooked hop. Light and grainy in the finish, dry in the end with a faint alcohol taste. An easy drinking Lager.
(wheat beer) A simply amazing brew ...Very smooth (almost creamy), medium bodied, mildly crisp up front with a light bite of grain and yeast. Then comes some fruit, malted wheat, bread/biscuit and a flavourful hop bitterness (citrusy). Faint rustic under-tones appear from the flavour of the yeast and linger with some grain and a soft spicy flavor. Brewing with an Altbier yeast strain and Tettnanger and Cascade hops, makes this beer among the best of the many American wheat beers. This proved true at the 1998 Great American Beer Fest, where it was awarded a gold medal in the American wheat category: The top pick for American wheat beers!
